EDIT 15. December 2009 As of now you have about half-a-month to make your entry. The deadline still is the first of January 2010 (GMT +02:00) + a day or so due the time zone differences.

If you need more time for some reason; tell us why and we'll see about it. (I understand the holidays are on the way and will be a busy time for many of you etc.)

KUOLEMATTOMAT CONTEST!

We are glad to announce the very first contest for our Kuolemattomat comic! Well fitting for the fall-season we want you to design a side character who would fit into the dark atmosphere of the Limbo in our story. You will primarily get points from a convincing character and story adaptability, so "awesome 1337 hAX drawing skillz" isn't everything you use to win, but it helps to do your best. :) Please do check the gallery and comic first if you aren't familiar with our project.

Prizes include free commissions from the artist of your choice and the winner design gets to play a role in the actual comic. Please check the site for details: [link]

Contestants and 'outsiders' (meaning everyone else than us who draw the comic x'D) can sign up for making extra prizes for the winners. Let's make it an awesome contest, k? :D

Deadline is 1.1.2010 so you have plenty of time.

Oh and all dA users can also enter their design or sign up for prize-making by sending me a note if you prefer it over the email or guestbook options.

Q&A

Q: Do we get to keep the character we design?
A: Yes! You have all the right to use the character you designed for whatever you want. This matter will probably be discussed in more detail with the winner, but that's that.

Q: Does the character HAVE to be a dragon?
A: Yes it would be good that the character can be categorized as a dragon in order to keep all the contest entries equally comparable for judging purposes. Although as this is a design contest you are given very free hands with the whole 'dragon' concept.

:skullbones: IMPORTANT:
Q: What sort of info do you need about the character besides a drawing?
A: In order to use the character correctly and judge properly we need such info as;
- How the character died.
- How was their past life
- Personality info
This contest puts a lot of weight on the actual character, not just how they look. ;)

Q: What is the average size of a dragon in the Kuolemattomat-world?
A: An average dragon stands about one meter tall measured from the shoulder height. Landre is a good example of an average size dragon, while Sid is a rather large one.
